still life

The Golden Age of The Netherlands produced art that has very rarely been surpassed in intimacy and technical ability. My still life studies set out to create work that celebrate these extraordinary Dutch paintings.

Whilst the still life can provide a snapshot of a story or time and a place, I’ve also used the triptych idea to help suggest a narrative, as in the St Clemence and fizbang images immediately below.
