Christie’s gallery, London. Outside In SHELTER exhibition. Photography by Tom Thistlethwaite

a short biography

II II originally studied Fine Art but later I completed a degree course in Graphic Design. During my design career, I set up and ran, a boutique creative design agency in central London and Surrey for 25 years. I was awarded an international prize for digital screen animation on the landmark Spectacolor sign in Piccadilly Circus. My design work includes the creation of the graphic interface for the ground breaking PSION palmtop. Also, the design of marketing material for the sale of UK’s biggest portfolio of commercial real estate.

I produce work in traditional and digital media, such as paint, photography, video, print, 3D, text and digital. Being naturally versatile, I feel perfectly at home mixing traditional and contemporary aspects.

My landscapes have featured in Surrey Life magazine and I have participated in a number of shows (London and Surrey) since 2014, selling work through exhibitions and private commissions

Since the restrictions of Covid lockdowns have eased, I have been busy progressing the landscape and still life themes and I have taken part in a number of exhibitions, including:

• Royal Society of Graphic Fine Art, Mall Galleries, London

• Vivid Dreams, Parkinson’s Art. The Oxo Tower, London (2021)

• Royal Society of Marine Artists. The Mall Galleries, London

• Guildford Arts annual exhibition

• I was invited to pitch for the Madge Gill commission at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester. For which I was shortlisted

• Out of The Blue, Parkinson’s Art. Reading room, Liverpool, and The Oxo Tower, London (2022).

Since then I’ve been concentrating on ‘health matters’ but I’m now in a position where I can get going again… and I can’t wait.

• Outside-In national open art event. It follows a SHELTER theme. I am one of 80+ artists chosen for a travelling exhibition, starting at The New Walsall Gallery and finishing at Christie’s HQ, in London StJames. February 2025 - January 2026.
