as individuals or artists we’re all on unique journeys & in different stories yet we’re all part of the bigger picture

a few things from my own story that have shaped my art:

The traveller’s tales and a love of maps created a wonderlust i’d rather go walk-about than get from a > b without the detours. there’s the sea and looking out across its open spaces will always be a draw but i love mountains the most

there’s the dingle, liverpool home of my first experiences and introduction to art and where the blue plaque will be (yeah whatever) then the laughing cavalier appeared as did leonardo da vinci pele astronauts joining muhammad ali

I was never going to cut the mustard as an astronaut so turned to graphic design and spectacolor piccadilly circus the landmark electronic advertising screen set up and ran spike a boutique mayfair-central London (oooh get you) design studio even picked up a creative prize in New York and punched above my weight producing marketing for prime London commercial real estate properties

finally got to mix it with the movers and shakers club, well the parkinsons version anyway I was diagnosed more than a decade ago and although it’s a challenge there have been others walking on hot coals taking on triathlons learning shotokan karate the traditional Japanese way from legendary sensei enoeda

now armed with a load of creative notions and experience …. oh and a packet full of fun i’m off to create art that goes beyond the ordinary landscapes and still life’s that reveal more than initial impressions there are stories to tell and histories to find

i can catch my breath now!
